About the forest:

The Monarch Meadow is unique in a lot of ways and is a rare example of a forest that does allow human development. Large power lines travel through this area but the area underneath is not fenced in and still provide unhindered access for local wildlife.

The area is open and gets a lot of light acting as a home for many local pollinators who enjoy the wildflowers, berry bushes, and abundant milk weed. The endangered Monarch butterfly is one of many insects that call this home.
